Featured Skater

The Point Mallard Figure Skating Club is proud to announce that we are honoring our Club members by featuring one skater each month as a Featured Skater. This will provide the skater an opportunity to express who they are, what skating means to them and what their accomplishments/goals are.

This month's Featured Skater is:

Erica Danielle Johnson

Age: 18

Years Skating: Almost 6

Level – ISI: FS2

Why did you start skating?

I tried it at Ober Gatlinburg while on vacation and wanted to come home and take lessons.

What is your favorite thing about skating?

No matter what is happening in my life I can step on the ice and it will all go away for a little while. I love the people at Point Mallard. I have made life-long friends with fellow skaters.

What was your favorite competition experience?

Karaoking with the Point Mallard team at an Atlanta competition.

What was your most embarrassing skating moment?

When I had a seizure during a Spotlight routine in Nashville.

What are your skating goals?

I want to share ice skating with other children.

Tell us something about yourself (ex. What do you do when you aren’t skating):

I am interested in doing plays. Currently I have a small part in DreamWeavers’ Pocahontas. I spend most of my spare time with my boyfriend Wesley. I love to be outside!
